Erie to implement pipeline mapping requirement

The latest salvo from a Weld County community seeking to get a better handle on oil and gas development in the town is an ordinance that will require full mapping of pipelines. Only one of the six Erie trustees voting last night voted against the measure which will go into effect by October 31st. Companies will be required to give the town maps of existing and new flow lines and Erie would be allowed to file court injunctions if operators fail to do so.
