COGCC director to resign March 2

The Colorado Oil and Gas Conservation Commission director will step down March 2. Matt Lepore says he’s moving to a new job at a private consulting firm in the energy industry. Lapore, in a statement announcing his resignation, says he’s proud of his work in Colorado and that the rules here are held up as national and international examples for effective oil and gas regulation. The Colorado Department of Natural Resources has named Julie Murphy as the new director of the COGCC.
