Eric Gray, the Loveland man convicted in the 2015 murder of his elderly neighbor is sentenced to life in prison without parole.
Prosecutors say Gray and the victim, 75 year old Gerald Donovan, had been arguing for some months over a land dispute.
Witnesses told the court how they ran and hid, while hearing Gray’s assault rifle firing nearby. The defense tried to use Gray’s decreasing mental state as a way to reduce the punishment. In the end, the bench disagreed, with the position he is not considered sick enough for any relief in the sentencing.
