No Social Media At One Area Campus…At Least On Their Network…

With the ever increasing use of social media, one area school district has decided to stop it during school hours. Boulder Valley School District officials say they have cut off the middle school students’ access to social media using the school district’s Wi-Fi. Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn and Pinterest were the sites affected. In the fall, the district also blocked middle school access to gaming sites. Parents have approached the district over concerns of inappropriate content and the technology overall becoming a distraction to learning.
