Governor to be investigated for ethics complaint

The state ethics commissions will investigate a complaint against Gov. John Hickenlooper filed by the group Public Trust Institute, which is run by former GOP House Speaker Frank McNulty. The allegations are that Hickenlooper accepted flights on private jets, stayed in luxury hotels and went to all-expense-paid events and then didn’t disclose that information as required by law. While the Governor refused to comment on the specific allegations, his staffers say this is just a political stunt meant to influence the upcoming election.
