CSU student sentenced to probation after video of arrest went viral last year

The CSU student whose arrest went viral last year has been sentenced to probation. A jury in August found Michaella Surat guilty of resisting arrest and obstructing a peace officer. Her arrest was captured on a 9-second video, showing an officer knocking her to the ground. The officer was cleared of any wrongdoing. The judge on Monday sentenced Surat to one year probation and ordered her to complete 48 hours of community service, and a couple of classes.
