“Monday” Morning QB: UNC 42, Northern Arizona 14

Northern Colorado was able to gain its first win of the season Saturday by “turning the tables” on a Northern Arizona team that is stellar at forcing turnovers.

Not only that, the Lumberjacks limited UNC to under 60 yards of offense in the second period, but the Bears turned the tide by keeping NAU from moving the football in the second half.

All told, the Lumberjacks either turned the ball over, lost it on downs or punted in the second half, failing to tally points in the final 30 minutes.

UNC LB Luke Nelson gained the Big Sky’s Defensive Player of the Week honor for his play in Saturday’s win, as the Bears now get ready to travel to Southern Utah for their second to last road game of the season.
