An 8-year-old boy has died after he was hit by a parade float in Windsor.
The accident happened near the end of the Harvest Festival Parade on Monday.
He was walking in the parade with the float when he was hit.
The boy was rushed to Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland. The rest of the parade was immediately canceled.
A GoFundMe account has been set up to help the family. Already more than $30,000 has been raised. Police say the boy and his family are in their hearts.
Windsor-Severance Fire Rescue is encouraging those who witnessed the incident or otherwise affected to contact counselors at 347-2120.
