Salmonella cases traced to Ft. Lupton restaurant, events at Aims C.C.

Attendees at some recent events at Aims Community College’s Greeley campus have come down with salmonella poisoning, prompting the closure of the restaurant that catered the functions. There have been ten confirmed cases, stemming from events on February 9th and 13th that were catered by Burrito Delight of Fort Lupton. County Department of Public Health and Environment Executive Director, Dr. Mark Wallace, says the department is trying to get word out to those who were in attendance at those events.

None of the restaurant’s employees have shown signs of contracting salmonella, and Wallace says the owner has been helpful by closing the doors of both its Fort Lupton and Dacono locations.
