Work scheduled to build Firefly Trail this Saturday

Volunteers from Outdoor Colorado will help build a 3,000 foot trail in the McCloskey Natural Area this weekend. The city is building the Firefly Trail near 71st Avenue and 10th Street. It’ll be made out of crusher fine rock, which is softer than concrete and packs better than pea gravel. City leaders say they’re looking for more volunteers to make sure the project gets finished this Saturday. Volunteers are expected to work from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
