Loveland-based corporation faces DOJ suit over hiring practices

Loveland-based Crop Production Services is the subject of a lawsuit filed by the Department of Justice alleging U.S. citizens were discriminated against in the company’s hiring at a Texas facilty. The DOJ filing claims CPS turned down at least three U.S. citizens for positions as seasonal technicians at El Campo, Texas, instead preferring to hire temporary foreign workers in the country under the H-2A visa program. 29 similar investigations are currently underway, according to Fox News, as the “Protecting U.S. Workers Initiative” began March 1st.
