Ft. Collins fires search firm after erroneous info gets spun

The City of Fort Collins has ended its contract with a firm it was working with to find candidates for police chief. Andersen & Associates was being paid more than 28-thousand dollars for the work, but after a blog post appeared stating the city had eliminated a finalist over statements he had made on immigration law, city manager Darin Atteberry terminated the contract. Atteberry says no finalists had been determined and there were no discussions on political matters.
