“Not Guilty” plea in kidnapping, murder case entered by former Pierce board member

The Pierce Town Board member embroiled in the case surrounding the disappearance and murder of a woman entered a not guilty plea in Weld District Court today. Daniel Meyer is among the group of people accused of kidnapping and killing Tera Lewandowski in September of 2015. Meyer’s trial will begin May 1st. Six other people were arrested in the case, with one of them, Scott Hanchett, reaching a plea deal earlier this week on a charge of first-degree murder.
