Boys rescued after getting lost near Brown Lake

Three teenage boys who went hiking had to be rescued over the weekend. The Larimer County Sheriff’s Office says the 15- and 16-year-olds got turned around near Browns Lake in Roosevelt National Forest west of Fort Collins. Search and rescue crews quickly found two of them, about 7 miles from the lake, but one had become seperated. He ended up climbing to a higher elevation for cell phone service and rescuers didn’t end up reaching him until Sunday afternoon.
