Hundreds attend vigil at Islamic Center in Fort Collins

A show of faith outside the Islamic Center of Fort Collins on Sunday. About 200 Christians and Jews attended the candlelight vigil, aiming to show area Muslims that they are supported in the community. Muslims nationwide have reported hateful speech and actions directed their way after the terror attacks in California earlier this month. The Islamic Center also collected donations for the victims of that shooting. Some who attended the vigil say they felt it was important for Fort Collins to be a “light on the hill” for other cities.
