46,000 sign up for health coverage through Connect For Health Colorado
More than 46,000 people signed up for health insurance through Connect for Health Colorado in the first month of open enrollment. Anyone who needs to renew or enroll for the first time must sign up by Dec. 15 to have their new coverage take effect Jan. 1 and avoid a gap in coverage. This year’s plans do not include any from Colorado Health Insurance Cooperative because the state shut the co-op down over concerns that they didn’t have enough money to pay for all the policies. The co-op was the state’s largest provider last year.
